Biggest Loser - Week 5

Welcome to Week 5 of the Biggest Loser.

You might have been a little confused when you tuned in and thought you were watching The Real World.  I have never not liked an episode, but I did NOT like this week.  I don't like the attitudes.  I want to slap some of these girls.

I was all excited because we were finding out if the Aqua team was coming back.  They needed to lose 50 lbs and they did.  Then they had to decide which trainer they wanted.  They both wanted Bob...and who wouldn't?

The attitude from just about everyone on the ranch was "They have no idea what they are in for."  The irony, is that these two practically smoked everyone in their workouts.  Like I said, lose the attitude.  Yes, I will admit that there could have been a little more effort on the homework, but just like they haven't been on the ranch, these contestants weren't at home with them either.  I think there was a lot of intimidation that they were able to lose just as much weight not being on the Ranch.  That's a threat and some insecurities came out. There were definitely some ruffled feathers (ha pun intended on the NBC Peacock)..

There was tension on both teams.  On the Black team there was tension between Chris and the two young guys who had voted for her last week.  Bob brought them all together and she admitted that she has walls up and that it's hard for her to let people in.  Then later she came in to talk to them and tell them how much she likes them and respects them.  They just rolled their eyes.  I wanted to flick them in the nose.

On the Red team Kim and Conda just complained and trashed Adrian's joining their team.  And they said it with sour faces. Flick!  Flick!  Come on people.  Yes, it's a game, but give me a break.  You aren't all that.  You're there because you made horrible decisions with your body.  Don't act like your Sh&* don't stink.  Definitely some personal insecurities there.

There was a beach challenge.  On one side of the wall were a bunch of balls and mini trampolines.  The teams were to run down the beach, grab a ball (worth different points), and bounce it on the trampoline so that it lands on the other side of the wall.  On that side are four team members holding a net. They needed to catch the balls and then dump them in a bin.  First team to 100pts wins.  What do they win?  I'm glad you asked.  The ability to keep one person from each team from the weigh in.

Oh I almost forgot, as long as the aqua team did not gain weight they are immune this week.

Red team won the challenge.

*Insert more trash talk*

There were more sit downs to "clear the air" on this episode than in all of the past years combined.  The whole idea of a healthy lifestyle was lost in the cattiness.  Grow up people!

So now it comes down to the weigh in.  It was not a good weigh in for either team.  Funny how the biggest trash talkers about how "You don't know what it's been like here for the past 4 weeks.  You don't know how hard we work." Did NOT pull their weight on the scale.  Just saying.  Shut up and Step up!

The Red team lost and Nancy was sent home.  I was SO mad at this.  She's in her 60's and quite frankly she has pulled better numbers than some of the 20 somethings.

I'm not going to lie.  This episode made me consider not watching next week.  I realized tonight that it is week 5 and there are still 4 people who I didn't know who they were.  They would talk and my response was "Who the heck is that?"  Too much drama and not enough gym sweat.
