Random Wednesday a day late: Training, breakfast for dinner, and dry skin

Hello Lovely Ladies and Gents,

I miss Random Wednesdays...so here's a special bonus: Random Wednesday One Day Late

Guess who forgot to set her alarm last night? It was me. ACK. The good news is that I got a lot of sleep. The bad news is that I shot out of bed and didn't catch my footing until I got home.

Alright, so I know your dying to know how my training is going. You are clearly asking yourself: Will she be able to get her reward on Friday?  Well first of all, I decided to change my reward. I have been wanting to see the movie Leap! It's at Redbox so if I meet my miles tomorrow that's what I get to reward myself with.

To review, the goal was to hit 10 miles between Wednesday and Friday. I got in 3 miles on Wednesday. Today I included 2 miles that I got during preschool. While we were in the gym for an hour I did laps. Now let me just say, if you have never done laps in a gym with a room full of 3-4 year olds, you have no idea what type of training that involved. There was resistance training (little hands grabbing my sweatshirt from behind and my hands to walk with). There was speed training (big wheels and tricycles on your heels). And there was Obstacle training (kids throwing themselves and balls at your feet). I kept up a steady pace and was sweaty so it counts. I followed it up with 3 miles at the gym. So hooray!  We are up to 8 miles with 2 to go.

Tonight I had breakfast for dinner. Honestly, I would eat breakfast for every meal if I could. My current favorite meal is Scrambled eggs with spinach and tomatoes. I pair it with avocado toast. YUM. It was delicious.

Confession: I may have rented Baywatch (with the Rock and Zac Efron) from Amazon...it was $0.69 people!

When I talked about the Candy Cane Lane Celestial Seasons tea I forgot to mention something. My wonderful Auntie ordered 3 boxes for me and the were waiting for me when I got home after Christmas. YAY.

Since I am now a Certified Sports Nutrition Specialist I can expand my services. I will be leading a Healthy Eating Seminar sometime next month at church. I am going to start working on my presentation tomorrow. Lucky for you I will be posting some tips and facts along the way.

I've been having  really hard time with dry skin these past few weeks. It's been so cold and I've not been getting my fill of water in. the good news is that since I got back to training I have been getting in all of my water and my skin is less dry. Hooray!

Being a part of the St. Jude Heroes team is wonderful, but also heartwrenching. Every video of the kids we are running for breaks my heart.  Here is a pretty awesome stat for St. Jude:

Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent when the hospital opened in 1962 to more than 80 percent today, and we won't stop until NO child dies from cancer.

Please help me make a difference:
