The Biggest Loser Season 15 Episode 8
The Biggest Loser Season 15 Episode 8
Sorry it took so long to get to this. I really did mean to watch and post over the weekend, but eh I was a tad tired.
So last we left the Biggest Loser Ranch Holley had just been sent home and then we got the tease that she wasn't the only one going home that night...oohh...ahhh.
One person would be going home and representing their team at the weigh in. The good news is that they would be taking their trainer with them. So now if that team loses it's still whoever falls below the red line. Sucks if someone falls below because their trainer was away for the week.
Marie is in a panic. She doesn't want to go home and be in that environment, but she also doesn't want to be on the Ranch without Jillian.
Each contestant puts their face on the wheel that will be spun.
Hap is looking at this as an opportunity not a challenge. If he can't do it at home with Bob then he can't do it.
Jay is hopeful. He is very homesick.
Tanya doesn't want to see all of the snacks that she didn't throw out.
The wheel spins and Jay's face wins. He is happy, but Jillian is worried. She doesn't want to leave the rest of her team. She's also worried that Jay is so homesick that he will be pre-occupied while they are home.
Tumi says that Jay listerally has the weight of the White team on his shoulders.
Jay lives in Farmington, MO. He is tearing up just waiting to go inside to his Welcome home. (It had me crying). They song that was playing when he walked in to the house had the lyrics "Here I am....Change Me".
His wife couldn't believe the transformation.
Jay tells everyone that he isn't alone. He introduces Jillian. She is happy to see all of the support that he will have at home.
Someone asks him if he always wears the hat. He laughs and says yes. Then someone asks what it smells like. I do NOT want to know.
Holley went home last week and we have her follow up.
She started at the Biggest Loser Ranch weighing 351 lbs. Today she weighs 265 lbs.
In the past she loved being big. She succeeded when she was big. She never felt like she needed to change. She is currently training for a competition. Her goal is to lift the 225 lbs she did on the Ranch. She wants to see if she can do it when she's smaller.
She snatches 220 lbs and then has a clean and jerk of 240 lbs. Rock on lady! She is hoping to medal in the 2016 Olympics.
Back at the Ranch, Dolvett sets up a course similar to an NFL combine. He has them running through tires, pushing giant pads, pulling weights, and running over mini hurdles. Ruben played football when he was 17. His mom sends Dolvett his jersey. It fits again.
Bob has sort of adopted the rest of the White team.
Marie is worried about working out with Bob, but she realizes just how strong she is.
My favorite quote of the night: Bob says that he is thinking about all of that Jillian on one person. "I mean I'm just lighting a candle for Jay every day." haha.
Back in Missouri
There is no gym. They were working out on a farm outside...in the heat. Jillian says she can give you a huge workout with just your body weight. The key is to step out of your comfort zone.
She has him jumping over hay stacks.
Jay " Jillian can pick up two rocks in a parking lot and make you wish you were somewhere else."
Back at the Ranch Dolvett takes Rachel to the pool. It is her 1st love. Back in 2006 she had a record in the 100 fly in high school. She was in 3 state championships. She has not been in a competitive pool in 6 years. She was offered scholarships and instead chose her boyfriend. When they broke up she turned to food. This is very emotional for her.
Dolvett times her...in just his bathing suit and sneakers...oh hello..
She is disappointed in her time 1:24...she does better the next time.
Jay shows Jillian the farm where he grew up. It's an emotional journey.
His parents divorced 6 years ago and shortly after that, the home that his mother designed burnt to the ground. There is nothing left but a gaping hole.
Jillian says that Jay keeps trying to move forward without dealing with the losses. He says that he doesn't know how to deal with it. She tells him to just let it be.
Dolvett says that this week's weigh in will be the Red vs Blue vs Jay. They need to work twice as hard to beat a guy that puts up great numbers every week.
We are at week 8. It is more than halfway over. Jennifer is very happy to still be there.
David has gotten to 100 lbs, but now he can break into the 200's this week.
Dolvett says that for his size, Ruben should be putting up tremendous numbers on the scale.
Jillian has Jay boxing and jumping rope.
