Random Sunday: Girls on the Run, Lose Weight Fast, McDonalds, and Playlist

Happy Random Sunday Bleeps,

It's been a busy 2016 good gravy. I seem to be either GO GO GO or Pooped Pooped Pooped.

Yesterday was my Girls on the Run 5K. I can't wait to find time to sit and tell you all about it. I think I can fit that time in around 2020. lol. No, I will make time for that because I am so darn proud of them. Every girl deserves a standing ovation.

I will just give a teaser. Going into the day I was 8 miles short of 100 miles for the month. I was planning on going to get 5 more miles after, but I was exhausted. My adrenaline crash after cheering on all of my 8 girls and countless others had me so spent I could barely move. It was like I birthed them all in one hour.

Last night was the annual Chicken BBQ at church...Oh Dear Lord it was yummy....I can't say NO to BBQ...luckily I keep it to every few months.

It's birthday month. The emails with free Birthday offers have started to come in. The first one was from Zoe's Kitchen...only my MOST FAVORITE. I get a free meal...I'm a happy camper.

This morning there was a story on tv that there is a new way to lose weight fast for the summer that included eating lots of chocolate.

Just stop. These stories are so irresponsible and drive me crazy.

Eat healthy. It's literally THAT SIMPLE.

Marathon training is coming along. It's slow, but steady. The focus right now is strengthening my knee and working on my cardio endurance. I have one more month on this schedule and then we kick things up a notch in June.

My 26.2 sticker on my back windshield is drying and breaking off (darn heat). It's making me sad. I need to scrape it off and put my new one on.

Tony Stewart is back behind the wheel. WOO WOO!  He looks great and clearly he has been working hard with his physical therapy. If you missed it, he broke his back in January. Last week was his first week back. It's his last year as a Driver for NASCAR so every race missed has broken my heart.

Seeing his tremendous progress is a testament to just how amazing the body is. It's strong and it heals.

Hey Tony Stewart, CALL ME!

I keep seeing posts on facebook about people complaining about McDonalds employee,s whose work performance and ethics were questionable,  making $15/hour while they make less doing more important work. STOP GOING THERE! For goodness sakes, please stop going to McDonalds. There is nothing good for you there. Poor choices.

I'm a little behind on the Playlist update.

The Top 10 Workout Songs for April 2016

Fort Wayne, IN – April 4, 2016 – Ladies rule the gym this month—with females out front on all but three of the month's top tunes. The list also favors the poppier end of the musical spectrum. At the same time--even with these elements in common—there's still room for a few surprises.
The most anticipated songs of the month are the new singles from Sia and Meghan Trainor. Collaborations also proved popular—with Zara Larsson and Fifth Harmony teaming up with MNEK and Ty Dolla $ign, respectively. Lastly, from the fellows, you'll find the latest from Pitbull, a remix from Coldplay, and a fast track from St. Lucia.
In short, what seems like a homogeneous playlist on the surface turns out to be a remarkably fluid mix of dance, pop, rap, and rock on further inspection. Moreover, it's spring—when pop's jauntiness returns after months of hibernation. So, it's a great time of year for buoyant beats and an even better time to get outdoors.
Here's the full list—according to the votes logged on workout music site Run Hundred.
Pitbull – Freedom – 118 BPM
Zara Larsson & MNEK – Never Forget You – 73 BPM
Coldplay – Adventure of a Lifetime (Matoma Remix) – 112 BPM
Years& Years & Tove Lo – Desire – 126 BPM
Sia – Cheap Thrills – 90 BPM
Meghan Trainor – NO – 94 BPM
St. Lucia – Help Me Run Away – 158 BPM
JoJo – When Love Hurts (Hugel Remix) – 120 BPM
