Biggest Loser - Episode 1

NO EXCUSES!

Did you watch? Did you watch? Did you watch?

It's couples again. There of course is one couple of strangers.  The pink team are individuals.  They are two young ladies that are former athletes.  One is a former Olympic weightlifter who was constantly told what to do.  The only thing she ever had control over was her food.  Hence the weight.  The other is a former wrestler who literally broke her back in the ring and and continued with the match.

The teams were standing outside of the ranch when a helicopter carrying Dolvett on the side flew over them.  *the ladies swooned*.  And then the best part...a leather clad stud comes flying down the road on a motorcycle...BOB HARPER!  *Be still my beating heart*.

So here is the catch: not all of the teams will make it on to the ranch.  There will be a 3 part elimination. One team is going home.  The first challenge is a sprint.  One person from each team will compete in the sprint. The top few teams are in.  The second challenge...well, to be honest I was taking down my christmas tree and missed most of it.  There was a puzzle involved I know that.  The final two teams will have a balance challenge.  It comes down to the Pink team and a brother and sister team.  The Pink team makes it!  I'm so glad. I heart them.  Don't worry, the other team will be back in 4 weeks.  If they lose 50lbs they can come back.

Once they walk into the ranch they have two hours with the trainers.  Then they will have to choose their trainers.  Ready for the catch?  They are no longer couples. The couples will split up.  One with train with Dolvett and one will train with Bob.  Seriously? How do you choose?

My favorite moment of the choosing was when it was the married couple's turn.  She is going with Bob and he is going with Dolvett because "My wife wants Dolvett's body". LOL...that man blushed.

The theme of this season is NO EXCUSES!  I love it.

Spoiler Alert- Dolvett's team wins the weigh in. OH YEAH!  He was excited.  So someone from Bob's team was going home.  It was a tough call, but Ben (who had lost a lot that week) missed his family and asked to go home.  In his update he has lost 50lbs and is very active with his family.  I can't really fault him for going home.  He and his wife have 8 children with another on the way.  He's shown he can do it now, so he's excused.

Bring on Season 13!  NO EXCUSES

  1. OMG - seeing Dolvett repelling from the helicopter sent my heart over the edge then seeing Bob on the bike sent me into an whole other dimension! ha ha ha Great summary of the show! So excited about the new season and I'm glad they don't go so long between seasons any longer. I record them all with my DVR so that I can go back for some ideas and encouragement.
